Dear Fellow Parishioners,
As many of you have heard, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has come out with new guidelines for fully vaccinated people. The Central Gulf Coast Diocese has also issued new guidance for worship.
The bottom line is that “Masks are still required during service UNLESS you are fully vaccinated. For those who are fully vaccinated, masks are now optional. We will implement this new procedure next Sunday, May 23rd.
We will continue to maintain a “Safe Zone” for the most vulnerable among us. We will keep the left side of the sanctuary available for those who want or need to maintain social distancing.
Additionally, the following procedures remain in place until additional guidance is received.
-Distribution of Communion will continue outside the sanctuary as it is now
-During “The Peace” we will still not be able to shake hands or hug
-Singing is still on hold
-Christian Education and our traditional “coffee hour” is also still on hold
Thanks to all of you for your support and cooperation during these trying times. Our church life is starting to look more like it was before the pandemic. The Vestry will continue to implement additional changes when we are able.
We look forward to seeing your smiling faces again soon.
Peace be with you,
Stephen Bouchard
Senior Warden
